The Over-the-Water Villas at Sandals Royal Caribbean

You no longer have to travel to Bora Bora or Mexico to experience the luxury of over-the-water villas. As the first of its kind in the Caribbean, Sandals offers these gorgeous over-the-water suites, in the heart of the Caribbean Sea in Montego Bay, Jamaica. From floating water hammocks to glass floors, these Tahiti-style private villas deliver a jawdropping experience of Caribbean’s finest turquoise waters and rich marine life. Couples (or girlfriends who can swing the price together) can admire the majestic beauty of the ocean from their private infinity pool or either of their two outdoor showers. Beyond the views, guests will also have access to unparalleled services and exclusive amenities from 24/7 butler service, personalized in-room dining to private yoga classes and direct resort access via a “Royal Duffy” luxury boat.

Sandals Resort coming to Tobago

Sandals Resorts International has signed a memorandum of understanding to build Sandals and Beaches resorts on Tobago, said chairman Butch Stewart.

It would be the company’s first resorts on the island, one half of the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago in the southern Caribbean. Stewart describes the resort site as “magnificent.”

“We look forward to being a part of the Tobago hotel community as it’s a place I have been interested in for 14 years. It’s an incredible island with warm people and they have a lovely hotel community,” said Stewart.

He also said, “We have been very comfortable dealing with the various officials on the island and look forward to what the future holds.” Sandals has been in negotiations with Tobago for more than a year. The Tobago Hotel and Tourism Association said, “The majority of our members welcome Sandals coming to Tobago because of the additional flights and increased destination marketing which it would provide.”
